Rotary x MOD Royal Air Force Spitfire Set

The Rotary x MOD Rotary Air Force Spitfire Set combines the clean functionality of a traditional pilot’s watch with a tribute to one of Britain’s most celebrated aircraft. Developed in official collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, it celebrates British aviation heritage through a restrained, service-inspired design.

Its compact 37mm stainless steel case frames a matte papyrus dial, recalling the warm tone of vintage cockpit instruments. Bold black Arabic numerals and a precise minute track provide excellent clarity, while polished blue hands introduce a distinctive period detail. Subtle HMAF, Spitfire and 100m markings complete the purposeful dial design.

Powered by a dependable quartz movement, the watch features single-dome sapphire glass, an oversized screw-down crown and 100m water resistance. Brushed surfaces and polished case edges add refinement, while the hard-wearing blue military style strap reinforces its military character. A solid screw-down case back carries a special commemorative Spitfire engraving.

Each set is presented with a diecast model of Spitfire Mk IIa P7350. Built at Castle Bromwich in 1940, P7350 flew operationally during the Battle of Britain and remains the only airworthy Spitfire to have fought in the campaign. Now operated by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, it wears the commemorative colours of RAF fighter ace Alan Deere’s aircraft.
