At its heart is the dependable Miyota calibre 8215 automatic movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve and smooth, self-winding performance you can rely on. The cream dial is accented by applied stainless steel indices and a subtle date complication at 3 o’clock, all framed under vintage inspired mineral glass.

Having worn many watches over the past 55 years

Having worn many watches over the past 55 years, this one is the best. Everything about it speaks class and quality, from the glass and gold plated case to the elegant watch face and leather strap. I like that it doesn't make a ticking sound, only making a whizzing sound during hand movement that self winds the timepiece and can be seen on the reverse of the watch. The luminous hands and hour markers requires a pitch black totally dark environment to be seen very faintly. This is not a criticism of this watch since all 'luminous' watches are the same, ever since radioactive isotopes were banned from use, and rightly so.
