Rotary Seamatic 300 Automatic Watch - GB05430/27

This is my first automatic watch journey. It's an excellent watch and solid design. The Cyclop could be clearer but it's still readable. I had to take of about four links.

The watch face is bright yellow which gives it a pop against the chrome.

125 year celebration watch. Worth every penny.

I am absolutely blown away by the quality and finish of this watch, I have owned Doxa, Oris and Tags and to be honest there is no way it feels like over £1500 worth of difference between them and this rotary.The build quality is excellent, not a hint of back play on the bezel, and the click and movement is very satisfying, yellow face is beautiful in real life and in the sun is just incredible, I am not usually a fan of a cyclops but even this is done incredibly well in this watch, wears very well on my 6 3/4 inch wrist.Lume is excellent especially when exposed to sunlight, if I had one very small gripe is that lume is only on the tips of hands (see pic) this gives a rather strange appearance when first views as shows as one round and one triangle around watch, but that’s just a personal opinion.If your looking for a good looking, well built quality divers then give the Rotary Seamatic a try and you will not be disappointed, I will be adding more to my collection as plenty colour ways and straps to choose from.

Purchased for my Husband for Christmas he loves it. Colour of face is quite different to the ‘norm’. Keeps good time and very robust without looking too bulky.

Rotary make good affordable watches for folks who don't want to pay thru the nose for a bracelet that also shows the time. It's pretty. Its robust. (Do I mean heavy...) The date magnifying thingy is ineffective. But looks good. Glad I waited til price dropped. Bezel is 'orribly stiff and awkward. But still pleased with it - my workdays timepiece. Got a gold plated super slim for weekends. Nice!

Perfect watch for the price, the yellow is a great contrast. I just have one question in that on the back of the watch the advertised images on this page has "watchmaking" on a curved angle as it dose with "celebrating" but when receiving this watch the word "watchmaking" is not curved and instead straight similar to the avove text "years of". Just curious as to why this might be if anyone is able to tell me?

Well-made watch nice dial and color great band

I love this (Rotary Henley Seamatic 300m diver - automatic mechanical) watch, but as is usual with watches I have bought already fitted with stainless steel bracelets, the bracelet needed adjusting to my size. Once done VERY QUICKLY (by Ernest Jones Jewellers for a tenner, ok since I did not buy it from them - I bought it from Amazon), it fitted just right.There is only one TINY niggle, that seems to be the same with nearly ALL Rotary watches (that I have bought at least, except one) that are supposed to have ‘LUME’ on the dial……the lume is actually not very good, but I do NOT very good eyesight up close. That is why I NEED rather than just WANT good ‘LUME’, on the dial especially on a watch that’s is a ‘divers watch’, or a ‘field’ style watch.However, I don’t expect to see it on the dial of a ‘dress’ watch, so if I DO see it on such a watch then all the better, ie then Rotary Henley GMT as mentioned below.I have FIVE Rotary watches, & one (a Rotary Cambridge ‘Tank’ style Watch ie with a rectangle dial, & wearing a HIRSCH dark blue ‘lizard’ leather strap - Hirsch are available from Amazon too) it has ZERO LUME (but it is not ‘pretending’ to have some), it just has none, whereas another does have some which is rubbish - a Rotary Commando (NOT the Rotary Commando Pilot), whose steel bracelet is also not very good either, that is why I have a selection of NATO straps for it, from Amazon - good value so far.My Dark Blue Quartz Rotary Henley GMT GS05108/05, just purchased from Rotary - a lovely watch now it has a Dark Blue HIRSCH smooth leather strap, purchased locally to me (the Rotary light brown calf leather looks awful on it to me), now looks gorgeous to me since the dark blue dial, bezel & strap look way better together. It also has SOME LUME, but it is also not very good LUME. But this also also more of a ‘dress’ watch than a sporty or active wear watch like a divers watch, so it doesn’t matter that much.My Rotary Super Seven Scuba 300m Divers Watch with BLACK DIAL - bought from Amazon shopping app - also has a stainless steel bracelet that was much more difficult to get adjusted for some reason, also by Ernest Jones jewellers for a tenner, not bought from them either, but at least it fits properly now. The LUME on this one is nearly as good as on my Citizen Promaster Divers Watch which has excellent lume.The LUME on the Phobos Wave Master (wow!), is even better than on my Citizen Eco Drive Promaster 200m Divers Watch, which I though was & IS very good.However, my other watches, not mentioned above - I have 10 ‘analogue’ watches altogether, 3 mechanical, 3 solar powered, the rest quartz or battery powered plus an Apple Watch - all those others with LUME have rubbish LUME. It may good enough for others but not for me.Ordering & delivery process with Amazon shopping app is not that good far too often, but it depends on who the 3rd party seller is (Amazon fails at too, it isn’t just 3rd Party Sellers who fail).But try doing it with a ‘smaller seller’, who has no customer phone number, who ignores emails, & uses a 3rd party app to track your purchases - an app that is always too late with the info, a seller who also uses a courier who also has no phone number for customers, then you will see how bad it can get compared to Amazon - who will then look pretty good in comparison.That process only took 5 days to get my purchase (pretty good, but almost no timely communications or proper tracking). All tracking info was only received AFTER the fact (including the fact of having the parcel, before the despatch tracking info was received), so I had already got it (the info) from elsewhere rather from where I should have got it. By the time the ‘sellers system’ provided its info it was not needed.I hope those who read this will be helped or informed somewhat. Good luck with YOUR purchases.

Happy to have this in my collection! Hefty quality. Excellent build quality and finish. Superior lume! Ceramic bezel insert and sapphire crystal adorn the case, and solid links in the bracelet add to the value. Strangely, the timepiece that I received is able to be hacked! Highly recommend!

I’m very impressed with the value of this watch for the price. It’s solidly built, and had a sapphire crystal. It definitely feels like it should cost twice the price or more.
