I can’t help but feel like the quality has gone from this brand now. It’s not one thing, it’s a collection of small details that just mount up to make the watch feel substandard.
The clasp is genuinely like something you’d find on a £10 watch, it’s thin and doesn’t fill you with confidence. The date numbers are cumbersome and done offer the refinement of other parts of the face. The logo on the crown is almost flush and invisible, this used to be raised and proud. You need a set of pliers to turn the bezel and the uv lasts about 3 minutes. All in all not great and has completely put me off buying the new Seamatic 300.
I write this with a heavy heart as I have such a soft spot for the brand.
All in all, there are so many options out there for the price point that will blow this watch away.
